Luncheon: May 2025 – Ken Fish

Ken Fish is the founder of Orbis Ministries, and a native of Los Angeles, California.  He is an honors graduate of Princeton University with a degree in History and Philosophy of Religion; and earned his Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.  He also holds an MBA in finance and strategy from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management. Ken has over 20 years of experience as a senior executive with Fortune 500 corporations specializing in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and financial management.

Throughout his life, Ken has worked with churches and parachurch ministries travelling extensively as a conference speaker, teaching on a wide variety of topics ranging from leadership and spiritual formation, church growth and revival, biblical authority and exposition, to prophecy and healing. Ken has taught extensively in Australia, working alongside churches as diverse as Anglican, Assembly of God, Baptist, Catholic, Foursquare, Lutheran, Methodist, Nazarene, Presbyterian, Vineyard, and non-aligned Pentecostal. His work includes vision-casting, teaching on leadership and awakening themes, and equipping the saints to further the advance of the Kingdom of God. Ken has ministered in over 50 other nations and is a prolific author.

Ken’s message to Unite Mississippi was based on Isaiah 40:1-9 which offers words of comfort and hope as well as preparation for the Lord. Isaiah 40:1 says “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.” God’s word is available for all people, and it offers spiritual comfort to the weary. “Revival is underway. There is a national awakening; a reset; a return to the Lord. In the United States, the sale of Bibles has increased by 25% in 2024 over 2023. In the United Kingdom, the sale of Bibles has increased by 60%; and revival is spreading across college campuses around the globe.”

In Isaiah chapter 40, Israel and Judah had been disloyal to the Lord. Now consider America post 9/11; how loyal to God have Americans been over the past 25+ years? The United States has basically been at war in the Middle East since this time. The Middle East is basically a “cauldron, a countdown to Armageddon”. Throughout history, awakening and revival are “birthed in the midst of upheaval. Hardship is the way God gets our attention. Can you hear the voice of God crying out today? Crying for His people? God’s voice is resonating across our country, and we must be ready to answer His call.”

How do you prepare your heart to return to the Lord, to the move of God? You prepare through “fasting, intercession and prayer, reduced lifestyles, and creating a path of communication for the word of God. We should live our lives in the light of eternity and open our hearts to what God is birthing in us.” Consider, what new message, new focus is God birthing in you for this season?

Ken shared that God’s glory cannot be stopped as His glory is a sovereign decree. The rising tide of revival is approaching and “it is time to harvest in Jackson, Mississippi – the heart of America.” He encouraged listeners to create strategies to present the gospel to the poorest communities in Mississippi; to design communication strategies and train up an army for the return of the Lord. Ken closed by saying “God’s word will stand through all seasons and will not be broken. It will prevail. The Glory Train is coming; you need to get on board!”
